Case Studies

A look at the systems, automation, and web properties we've built — for clients and as our own products — with the same operational discipline behind every QNS engagement.

Misty AI Assistant

In Production

An AI assistant for email and voice, built around a draft safeguard that puts a human decision in front of everything it sends.

Misty is QNS AI's own assistant for the daily grind of email and voice communication: it reads and classifies incoming mail, drafts replies in the owner's voice, captures tasks into a live tracker, manages the calendar, and sends a formatted morning briefing.

The defining build decision was the draft safeguard. It runs at all times — nothing Misty produces goes out without your review — which is what makes an always-on assistant safe to point at a real inbox and a real voice channel.

Misty is in production and in active use. Signup, payment, and onboarding all happen in the separate Misty application; this case study covers the build, not the offering.

What We Delivered

  • Product design and build
  • Email triage, classification, and voice-matched drafting
  • Task capture into a live tracker, plus calendar management
  • Formatted daily morning briefing
  • Always-on draft safeguard before anything sends
  • Production deployment and ongoing operation

Misty runs in production today with a human decision in front of every send — an assistant that is useful day to day without ever being able to act unreviewed.

Warehouse Compliance Platform

Prototype

A workforce-compliance platform that tracks every certification, training record, and license, and flags them before they expire — replacing spreadsheets and memory with something audit-ready on demand.

In warehouse and logistics operations, certifications, training records, and licenses expire quietly. Nobody notices until an audit finds the gap, and by then it is a failed audit and an open liability.

QNS built the Warehouse Compliance Platform to close that gap: a single place that tracks every credential across the workforce, flags upcoming expirations before they lapse, assigns clear manager accountability for each one, and produces audit-ready reports on demand rather than as a scramble.

It is a prototype, not a shipped product — and a complete specification and roadmap already exist alongside it, mapping the path from where it is now to a production-ready system.

What We Delivered

  • Prototype design and build
  • Credential, certification, training, and license tracking
  • Automatic flagging of upcoming expirations
  • Manager accountability assignment per credential
  • Audit-ready reporting on demand
  • Full specification and production roadmap

The prototype establishes the tracking model and demonstrates continuous audit-readiness in place of spreadsheets and memory; the specification and roadmap written alongside it mean the next step is a build rather than a discovery exercise.

Consumer products, third-party marketplaces

Referral-Driven Lead Engine

Delivered

A QR-to-registration system that turns marketplace buyers into an owned customer list and a referral salesforce — built so the seller finally owns the relationship, not just the transaction.

Selling through third-party marketplaces means the platform owns the customer. Every sale lived inside the marketplace, so there was no owned customer list, no direct channel, and no low-cost way to generate new leads.

QNS built a product-registration engine to change that. A QR code on the packaging opens a registration page; the automation issues each registrant a unique referral code, tracks a points and rewards ledger, runs reactivation campaigns to past buyers, and feeds a simple KPI dashboard so the program's health is visible at a glance.

The result is a first-party customer list built outside marketplace restrictions, and a mechanism that turns satisfied buyers into a referral salesforce.

Program design targets — these are the numbers the system was designed to hit, not measured results: 30–40% of new buyers registering, and 5–8% going on to generate a referral.

What We Delivered

  • QR-code-to-registration intake flow
  • Unique referral code issuance per registrant
  • Points and rewards ledger
  • Reactivation campaigns to past buyers
  • KPI dashboard
  • Make automation build

The seller owns a direct customer list for the first time, built automatically from purchases that would otherwise have stayed locked inside the marketplace.

B2B infrastructure services

Website + Lead Intake for a B2B Infrastructure Firm

Delivered

A clean, modern website with lead intake for a B2B infrastructure services provider — a professional web presence plus a working path for prospective customers to get in touch.

QNS designed and built a website, with lead intake, for a firm in B2B infrastructure services.

The site uses a two-page structure: a home page that combines the About and Industries material behind scroll-based navigation, and a dedicated services page covering the company's core offerings — both mobile and tablet responsive.

The design follows the client's existing brand materials rather than introducing a new look, so the site sits alongside everything else the company already puts in front of its customers.

What We Delivered

  • Website design and build
  • Scroll-based single-page navigation
  • Mobile and tablet responsive layout
  • Brand-aligned design using the client's existing materials
  • Lead intake

The client gained a professional, easy-to-maintain web presence and a direct path for prospective customers to reach them.

Education, parent-teacher association

Volunteer Sign-Up & Coordination System

Delivered

A QR code on a printed flyer opens a 90-second sign-up that flows straight into a live coordination hub — dashboards, contact lists, and printable call sheets — built entirely on tools the organization already had.

Recruiting volunteers meant paper sign-up sheets and scattered lists. Nobody could answer the only question that mattered on the day: how many hands do we actually have for this?

QNS built a pipeline from flyer to fully-staffed event. A QR code opens a 90-second sign-up form, and every response flows automatically into a live coordination hub: a dashboard with counts by task area and an availability grid filterable by grade, teacher, day, time, and clearance status; a contacts list with one-click pre-filled email; and printable call sheets for anyone working from paper.

Two details do the real work. Roll-up logic counts the "I'll help with anything" volunteers under every task area, so totals reflect true available hands rather than undercounting the most flexible people. And district-clearance status is tracked per volunteer, so the people who can actually be scheduled are obvious at a glance.

The whole system runs on Google Forms, Sheets, and Apps Script — tools the organization already had — so it carries no software cost, and it was handed off with a one-page guide any board member can follow.

What We Delivered

  • QR-to-form sign-up pipeline
  • Live dashboard with counts by task area
  • Availability grid filterable by grade, teacher, day, time, and clearance
  • Roll-up logic for flexible "anything" volunteers
  • Per-volunteer district-clearance tracking
  • Contacts list with one-click pre-filled email, plus printable call sheets
  • Built on Google Workspace with Apps Script, handed off with a one-page guide

Delivered and live: sign-ups arrive from a flyer and land in a hub that answers who is available, for what, and when — at zero software cost, on tools the organization already owned.
